So here is my plan for 2013
For the first week of 2013 I plan on NOT eating any more cakes, cookies, or Christmas goodies. Starting on January 7th, when I go back to work, I plan on starting the "17 Day Diet". Hopefully by then we will have most of the comfort/junk food out of the house.
As far as exercise goes I am trying to start with some gentle exercise as to not kill myself. This week I plan on starting my days with a 29 minute lite workout video and a mile walk around the subdivision. Next week I will start adding karate classes back to my schedule. The week after that I will start adding the 30 minute kettle bell workout video. Then hopefully by the beginning of February I can start adding the P90X video series into my workout. Sometime in there we are signing Jonathan up for a program at the gym. I will probable go with him and walk on the treadmill while he is there as the gym is open 24 hours and does not always have a staff member on hand.
......so that is the plan.

Made to Crave
I read the book "Made to Crave, Satisfying Your Deepest Desire With God, Not Food" by Lysa Terkeurst last year. This year I plan to read the book a second time and blog about my reflections using the participant's guide developed for this book. Feel free to read along and share your thoughts and ideas as well.

Purpose of this blog?
Happy New Years!
The purpose of this blog is to help me stay on track with my goals. At the begginning of 2012 I set some lofty goals for myself and emailed them to a few friends and family members hoping that would help me be acountable. Although I completed several of them, I didn't make as much progress as I would like. I thought I would blog about my goals this year and see if that would help me stay focused.

My goals for 2012 included:
Complete my specialist degree and pass my certification test.
Earn my blue belt in karate and begin sparring.
Read and study “Made to Crave” and “Know the Bible in 30 Days”.
Lose 36 pounds to hit my goal weight of 150 pounds.
I did complete my specialist degree and certification test. I read "Made To Crave", but am hoping to go back and complete the participant's guide for it this year. Unfortunetly my last semester of school was a little crazy and I stopped excercising and going to karate. I did not earn my blue belt or lose the weight I wanted to.
My goals for 2013:
Return to karate and earn my blue belt and begin working on my goal to earning a black belt.
Complete the participant's guide for "Made to Crave" and blog about the book.
Read "Know the Bible in 30 Days"
Loose the additional weight I gained this year and get back on track to meeting my goal weight of 150 pounds.
Complete 90 days of P90X.
Please feel free to visit my blog to keep track of how I am doing and to help me stay accountable. You can also start your own blog article and share your goals and progress. Be sure to check out my reflections on the book "Made to Crave" as well.
